About the project
We all love to listen to music.
But do we ever consider the effort and skill that goes into the creation of the instruments making the music?
That guitar you heard on the radio while driving to work was made by a person with over 30 years of experience. They make each guitar by hand in a dusty workshop filled with specialized tools and exotic woods. Each guitar is a joy to make, and an investment of not only time but money.
Those drums you hear during that power ballad are hand carved, sanded, painted, tuned. Years of practice went into the learning of those skills, until finally the maker is proud to put their name on each instrument.
Think of every musical instrument that you might hear in a 24 hour period and then think of the people behind them.
The instrument makers.
This project is a celebration of those skillful, talented, devoted individuals who have dedicated years to the production of a myriad of instruments.
To be more specific, a celebration of instrument makers based in the province of Ontario.
When you have a moment to appreciate the image, be sure to follow the link page to a maker of interests web page to learn more about them and their creations.
